THE PANVITA GROUP ENSURES THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF FOOD SAFETY BY VERTICAL INTEGRATION OF PRODUCTION
The Panvita Group made almost EUR 110 million in revenues last year. ‘In 2009 the Panvita Group continued its growth in the meat-processing industry. We leased part of MIP production, stabilised our poultry-farming operations, acquired an operating permit for the Motvarjevci biogas plant, performed successfully in feed production, responded effectively to adverse weather conditions, and helped to establish the Marof charity foundation. The difficult situation in pig-farming led us to begin a restructuring process,’ said Dejan Židan, Chairman of the Management Board of the Panvita Group, at today’s press conference. The press conference was also attended by Igor Banič, Member of the Management Board, and Peter Polanič, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Panvita MIR, d.d.
Employees of the Panvita Group, which is one of the leading producers of safe, high-quality and tasty food in Slovenia, each received an annual bonus of up to EUR 700 at the end of 2009. They are entering 2010 with an integrated human resources management plan.
In 2010 the Panvita Group is planning total turnover comparable to the 2009 level, with 8% consolidated turnover growth. There will be basic technological investments of EUR 2.7 million, along with additional investments in development projects. To achieve stable operations, growth and the consolidation of its position as a recognised food producer, the Group will perform various activities in 2010 in the field of meat-processing, including activities relating to MIP. It will further improve cooperation with family-run farms, restructure its pig-farming activities, implement a number of development programmes and, using the human resources management programme, to deal with employees in a more systematic way.
